Amy G, Licensed Massage Therapist

Amy graduated from the New York Institute of Massage with high honors in October of 2003, and has been with The Wellness Center since April of 2009. Through her academic merits, she was awarded a mentorship position with an Osteopath in Buffalo, New York, furthering her studies in Craniosacral Therapy and Myofascial Release. Upon her arrival in Denver she centered her practice and studies around Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST), completed an advanced 2 year program through the Colorado School of Energy Studies in Boulder, Colorado where she earned the professional designation of Registered CranioSacral Therapist. During Covid, Amy was able to study and mentor remotely with a second Osteopath, learning healing techniques to support release through the body’s field, fascial and cranial systems.
Amy uses a mindful approach when working with clients, allowing the body’s “inherent treatment plan” to unfold and inform her sessions. Her treatments are centered around the relationship between the Central Nervous System (CNS) and its presentation in the body: nervous system dysregulation, fascial restriction, muscular tension, et cetera. Sessions are intuitively guided using a gentle therapeutic touch. Her practice philosophy is: “I have no agenda when working with a client. I listen to your concerns and allow your body to guide me. The body has the inherent ability to heal itself. I’m here to fascilitate and hold space for that healing.”
Amy enjoys working with all different types of clients, asking only for an open mind and willingness to actively participate in the journey towards personal health & well being. She also works with children (ages newborn on), having more than 2 decades of experience doing so.
