Désirée R, LMT
Désirée comes to The Wellness Center with a decade of experience in guiding individuals toward their highest movement potential. Grounded in advanced somatic training and backed by dual science degrees, Désirée offers a rare blend of clinical insight, precision and embodied intelligence. She provides an integrated approach to her sessions utilizing multiple modalities as needed – PNF, assisted stretch, active release technique, Ayurvedic massage and sports massage therapies to name a few. Light, medium or firm/deep pressure are all options in her sessions.
Désirée works well with all clients but specializes in facilitating the healing of chronic pain patterns, and works especially well with individuals who are open to receiving. She’s drawn to myofascial release and has had much success with back, shoulder and hip pain/mobility. Désirée also incorporates Trigger Point Therapy, breathwork and joint mobility into her sessions. She attunes to the tissue and listens to what it needs – allowing the innate wisdom of the body to guide the way. Plus Désirée is one of the few therapists we have who offers two hour sessions!
