If you’ve never been to The Wellness Center, you’ve likely passed it hundreds of times without noticing. Located on the corner of Colorado Blvd and Kentucky Ave, upstairs inside Whole Foods Market, we can be easy to miss. However, the impact of our work has been gently rippling through the Glendale & Cherry Creek community for 25 years.
The Impact of 25 Years
“We’re in the people business,” is a common phrase voiced by owner, Sharon Hwang. More than 40,000 clients have found refuge and healing in our treatment rooms. 250+ staff and practitioners have found a welcoming environment and a living wage here. Dozens of local nonprofits have supplemented services with donations and just as many local schools have auctioned gift cards to raise funds for classroom resources. Seeds of health, soothed nervous systems, and community-minded generosity being spread across Denver and beyond.

We are proud to be a local, woman, minority-owned business. Sharon is an active community member who has won many awards over the course of her business career, including; Colorado Biz Magazine Top 100 Women Owned Businesses, and Entrepreneur of the Year for the Glendale Chamber of Commerce. Her vision for a Wellness Center began during her time abroad volunteering with the Peace Corps in 1998. Upon returning, she began working as a front desk administrator for the Wild Oat’s Wellness Center. In 2001, she purchased the business and began shaping it into the thriving community that it is today.
Each month, we support nearly 1,000 clients with everything from pain management, to stress reduction, injury recovery, and preventative care. Our team consists of highly trained Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, and Acupuncturists, some with more than 20 years of experience. In an industry where the average career length is 3-5 years, Hwang has set a precedent for creating a healthy space and environment that supports both the practitioner and the clients who benefit from their care.
