Hello Everyone,
Effective December 1st, 2023, The Wellness Center is updating our cancellation policy. For most appointments, we’ll still require 4 hours notice. However, all morning appointments (scheduled for before 12:00 PM) will require notice by 6pm the day before the scheduled appointment.
In our industry, 24 hours notice is the most common practice. We know that life can change a lot in a 24 hour period, so for the last 10 years we’ve kept a strict 4 hour cancellation policy – a true anomaly! Filling a last minute cancellation is extremely difficult and can greatly impact the livelihood of our practitioners. Given our uniquely generous window, we must be strict in enforcing our cancellation policy.
Whenever possible, we ask that you give us as much notice as possible for appointment changes and cancellations. The more notice we have, the higher the probability that we will be able to fill the appointment. That likelihood goes down as the appointment approaches (especially same day cancellations). Our practitioners who work in the mornings are hit the hardest when a client cancels late in the evening the day before as we often cannot rebook these appointments and the therapist goes unpaid.
As a courtesy to these morning practitioners, we’ve decided to revise our cancellation policy. Effective December 1, 2023:
- For appointments booked at 12:00pm or later, the 4-hour cancellation policy will be strictly enforced.
- Any morning appointment (booked for before 12:00 PM) MUST be canceled before 6pm the day prior otherwise, you will be charged in full for the appointment.
- We waive this cancellation policy for emergencies and sickness as long as there is not a pattern of these types of late cancellations.
Illness and sickness: If you are sick, please stay home and cancel your appointment as soon as possible. Massage will NOT help you recover if you are sick and it only risks getting our therapists and staff sick, so please stay home.
Inclement weather: We live in a four season state. If you are apprehensive about driving in inclement weather, please be sure to follow our cancellation policy as we do NOT make exceptions for inclement weather cancellations. We appreciate your understanding and adherence to this policy.
In Health,
