It’s taken you months, maybe even years to find the massage therapist who is the best fit for your needs. How much time will you have with them before they stop practicing?

It is estimated that 50-88% of all massage therapists burn out within 3 to 5 years of their career. 3 to 5 years!

Can you imagine the difference in treatment you’d receive from someone who’s been practicing for 3 years vs 15 years?

Every single massage therapist who works at The Wellness Center has been practicing for over 10 years, with the average being 17 years, and the longest being over 20 years!

How have we been able to gather and retain a team of such caliber in this industry?

  • Consistent & Competitive Commission Increases
    • We value the knowledge and experience of our team members, as well as their commitment to being here. That’s why we are constantly re-evaluating and increasing our commission structure for all of our providers. This means our rates need to increase to match the level of experience we are paying for with our team. Despite this, we offer very competitive pricing when compared to other providers in the area.
  • Generous Scheduling & Time Off
    • Injury from overwork is common in the massage industry. Imagine performing physical labor for a full 60 minutes and having 5 minutes to rest before your next set. This is how quick the appointment turnover can be at some well known franchises. We ensure our practitioners get a minimum of 15 minutes in between each appointment and honor any request we receive for a larger break. We have no limits as to how much time off a therapist can take, it is up to the practitioner. We trust they know what they need and we make it work!
  • A Supportive & Compassionate Environment
    • Do you feel guilty when you call out sick or need a mental health break? Do you force yourself to go into work, even when you are sick or on the verge of burnout? Here at The Wellness Center, we trust that our staff and practitioners are here because they want to be. When a therapist needs time off, we know it is because they are sick, had an emergency or need to rest their body to prevent injuries. We trust the staff and practitioners are making the best decisions for their own physical and mental well-being. As a result, our team is able to sustain a much longer practice compared to industry standards. Sadly, our culture of compassion and support is a rarity, rather than the norm.

There are a myriad of other ways in which we support our team and the longevity of their careers. We hope it shows in the quality of care you receive at The Wellness Center.

At The Wellness Center, you receive 60 minutes of hands-on bodywork for $2.23/per minute. At the franchises you receive 50 minutes of hands-on bodywork and pay $2.58/per minute.
