Does-it-bring-you-joyMay has been a month with lots of activity.  We made some improvements to The Wellness Center.  We have added an additional treatment room, sound proofing, and improved our sound system.  All of which hopefully make your experience at The Wellness Center even more stellar.   We also have some new faces!  Ringo Segismundo is our newest Massage Therapist, we have 2 new Acupuncturists, Jacqueline “Jacki” Brown, L.Ac. and Gabriella Rivera, L.Ac.
For me personally, I celebrated my 42nd birthday with a major purge and letting go party.  I finished reading The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo.  Where she advises you to go through all of your things, discard and thank those that have served their purpose, and only keep those items that you love in your home.  I have gone through my books, jewelry and clothes, essentially discarding all the things that I don’t love, all the books that I think I might read but in reality will never read.  Things are starting to feel lighter, which is perfect for spring and the warm weather!
Life in many ways is all about letting go and showing gratitude to the stuff in our lives that no longer serve us, then passing them onto another person/home.  We live in modern day America where shopping is a common past-time.  We accumulate stuff at a much faster pace than we discard.  Hence over time we accumulate a lot of stuff and it weighs on us.  At least for me, it felt like it was weighing me down.   Here is to Spring Cleaning and bringing in lightness and new energy.
