The goal of the project is to revitalize the Atlantic Forest in Brazil by restoring 1 million acres of land by planting 5 billion trees by 2015. Tropical forests like these are the lungs of the Earth – storing an incredible amount of carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen which helps stabilize the global climate and help protect against global warming. The Atlantic Forest is one of the most endangered tropical forests with only 12% of the original size remaining. Let’s work together to bring it back to life!
