My life seems to be all about small bursts of energy.  I am amazed by how much I can get done in a small amount of time if I have the right energy level.  Things that have been on the to do list: hemming those pants, touching up the paint on a wall, organizing the pile that builds up on my desk, and just generally sorting through things that build up over time that clutter both the house and my brain.  These things get done in these small but productive bursts of energy.  I wish I could say that I have these bursts often, but now that I am a mamma I am happy if I get one good productive hour a week.
This relates to New Year’s resolutions…because I recently read an article that said many people fail at resolutions because they are too big.  Rather than say I am going to lose 20 pounds, instead say that you are going to start walking once a week.  The smaller goal is more specific and attainable quickly.  Once you start walking once a week you can try to add another small goal, such as eating more vegetables.  These smaller actions will add up to attaining the large goal of losing 20 pounds.
Whatever your goal this year keep it simple and small.
Also, I wanted to let you know of some exciting staff changes that have happened, Kris has been promoted to Director, and Yosevine to Assistant Director.  These 2 ladies have been dedicated to you and The Wellness Center for over the past 10 years, their goals is to make your experience at The Wellness Center the best it can be.  I feel so lucky and grateful to have these outstanding, smart, thoughtful and conscientious women working by my side .  Congratulations to Kris and Yosevine!  2013 is going to be a great year for all of us.
To your success!
