How did you become involved in Laskin Medical Skin Systems?
Being an esthetician, Lindsey has always been passionate about corrective skin care. She loves being able to work with clients whose confidence may be affected by their skin condition – whether it’s acne, acne scars, or pigmentation. From the beginning of her career, Lindsey has been drawn to the medical side of skin care and really wanted to provide her clients with products that literally do what they claim to do. Prior to discovering Laskin, she found that was often not the case. Lindsey felt a lack of ethics with those product lines and ultimately, she lost a lot of confidence in the field. While considering changing careers, she was introduced to Janet Kendall and her Laskin products. Lindsey felt excited and her enthusiasm for the field was renewed when she realized here was a product she could believe in. Both Janet and Lindsey have a passion for helping people and being available for their clients as they move through their treatments. Lindsey became a client even as she was training, learning not only the skin care line but Janet’s hand-on approach to clients and taking care of their needs.
How long have you been an esthetician?
Lindsey has been an esthetician for almost six years and has been with Laskin for almost two years. She finds this a wonderful match as she is not looking to give ‘facials’, she wants to do corrective work with clients to change their skin and their lives. Having struggled with bouts of acne herself over the years, Lindsey understands the emotional component of skin issues, as the first thing someone sees is your face. She loves to help people who are affected by their skin condition to improve not only their skin but how they feel about themselves. Prior to Laskin, Lindsey was working in a MedSpa, but now aims to expand Laskin into dermatology offices, doctor’s offices and other places where people will benefit from a medically-driven skin care line.
Hobbies or Interests?
Lindsey was born and raised in Fort Collins, Colorado but is passionate about travel and other cultures. So, she looks forward to Laskin going global. She is also very active and likes to lead a healthy lifestyle. Lindsey ran track and swam, and has also played competitive soccer most of her life, which lead her to coaching girls soccer. She loves the mountains and outdoors, going camping, hiking and white-water rafting. Lindsey is also a professional make-up artist and does bridal parties as well as permanent make-up.
