Massage Therapist
Dana Marlow, CMT
Dana graduated from the Colorado School of Healing Arts with an advanced degree in Neuromuscular and CranioSacral Therapies. She has extensive experience in Hot Stone Therapy, Trigger Point Release, Applied Kinesiology, Reflexology, Healing Touch and Sports massage.
Dana's personal philosophy is to restore function and eliminate pain. She believes that people seek out massage therapy not only for it's relaxing qualities, but also for it's ability to restore the human form. By restoring function to the soft tissues of the body, massage allows the body to shift into a more balanced state. She likes to bring her client's attention to posture distortions, muscular tension and dysfunction. Many people lean toward deep tissue work and want a therapist to ""really get in there and grind out the knots"", which can be very beneficial. It is important to also educate people on the healing and peace of mind that can be found in silence and energetic types of bodywork, such as light pressure techniques, static holds and quiet listening.
Dana covers both ends of the realm in her practice. One end being hard core, deep tissue work, detailing the muscles with t-bars, fascia sculpting and Trigger Point Release. The other end being soft, light energetic work like Healing Touch and CranioSacral Therapy, knowing they all have enormous value.
